Animal Farm written as a "Fairy Story" by an
English writer, George Orwell, is the narration of violent
political revolution of farm animals against the farmer who owns all.
The characters in this story, in disguise of animals, were inspired by
Russian revolution and each symbolizes an actual character in real
world. Orwell as a democratic socialist was a critic of Joseph Stalin
known as a dictator leader of the Soviet Government.
The
element of symbol, which often expresses more than what it says, is very
strong in Orwell's Anima Farm that indirectly goes beyond what limits
the literary speech due to political restrictions.
As the similar version of Animal Farm we can mention an Iranian
play which was written by Bijan Mofid, known as "The City of Tales" in
which the author used various kinds of animals to represent real human
characters symbolically in order to form his unique style of narration.
